WHO ARE WE?
Director of Operations & Quality
Emily is the Director of EM Academy & Consultancy (EMAC). She brings decades of experience working within various sectors to provide innovative training solutions to upskill current staff and support new entrants to the industry.
Emily’s knowledge of the aged, disability, community, health and care sectors combined with her extensive experience in vocational education and training (VET), business management, operations and compliance, has given her the ability to develop tailored, one-of-a-kind solutions.
Emily is passionate about vocational education and training — ensuring quality training outcomes for students and the best training solutions for partner employers. She thrives on a challenge and finding solutions to issues deemed unsolvable, and nothing gives her more satisfaction than supporting businesses and students to achieve their goals and succeed.
Whilst she loves her day job, Emily is also mum to 4 young children — the hardest but most rewarding job of all.

Director of Training & Development
Having worked within the healthcare industry since 1993, Monique is now the Director of Training and Development at EMAC. Working in South Africa, the UK, and Australia — Monique acquired extensive experience in trauma, accident, emergency, and mental health, but her true passion lies in aged, disability, and community care.
Over the last 18 months, Monique has worked as part of the commonwealth surge teams in VIC and NSW as an infection control specialist in COVID affected residential facilities. This experience has strengthened her resolve to dedicate all her knowledge and expertise to support our aged, disability and community sectors to achieve the best care for the most vulnerable and valued members of our community.
Monique believes that staying current with industry practices is critically important in ensuring her students receive the most up to date industry knowledge and skills, which is why she continues to work at least one shift a week as an EN in a residential facility.
“I am a qualified and experienced facilitator for aged care. I have delivered quality care to consumers and clients and am very passionate about aged care. Having completed my clinical training in the UK 20 years ago, I have worked extensively in the acute and aged settings, having travelled to many parts of the world, including South Africa, the UK and Australia for the same. Within Australia I have worked in metropolitan, regional and rural settings (trauma, accident and emergency, mental health).” – Monique

We bring a wealth of industry experience and insider knowledge that can support both students and businesses. But we are also firm believers in real, practical experience to give students the confidence to provide the ultimate care to those in need.
We know that one size doesn’t fit all, which is why we support students to find the courses and opportunities that are right for them. We also collaborate with care providers and job service providers to find solutions that are suitable for their staff, job seekers and specific business needs.
Our long-term vision is to grow and improve the care sector through positive action. Our work not only helps to provide the best care to those in need, but it supports students and those facing unemployment by providing excellent training, sustainable employment, and a rewarding career in the care sector.

COVID SAFE POLICY
We are a COVID safe site. As we support the health care sector and deliver infection control training, relating specifically to COVID, we take protecting our students, clients and community very seriously.

- Everyone entering the premises is required to complete a ‘COVID CHECK IN’
- The premises, facilities, furniture, and equipment are thoroughly and regularly cleaned
- Hand washing and sanitising facilities are provided within the space to ensure the safety of our students and staff
- We practice social distancing where appropriate and ensure masks and other personal protective equipment is used during practical training
